Religions in America conference explores cultural competency

The InterFaith Leadership Council of Metropolitan Detroit is partnering with the Wayne County Community College District's School of Continuing Education to host the fifth annual Religions in America conference, focusing this year on Cultural Competency: Understanding the Cultural and Religious Diversity of our Friends and Neighbors. The event, held September 17, 2011 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m., will feature experts from local interfaith organizations, the U.S. Department of Justice, and diverse faith traditions. David Crumm, founder of Read the Spirit, will moderate the panel. The event is free and open to the public.
